Co-ownership/fractional of primary residence

Hey all,

I've been trying to set up co-ownership between myself and a couple friends for a primary residence in San Francisco (similar to a TIC, but we would be trying to buy one SFR and share costs/payments)

We’ve talked to some fractional attorneys and have tried to arrange financing, but it’s been a difficult sell for sure.

Has anyone gone through this process before?
