Transfer Utilities to Tenants

Tim Huynh
Posted

Which method have you found to be the easiest when transferring utilities to your new tenants.  Do you call the utility company, verify your account, dial in the tenants so they can provide their info, and drop off the phone?  Looking for the best way to do this.

I don't provide keys or sign the lease until after tenants provide confirmation of utilities in their name as of the start date of the lease. I also don't do any of that without all move in funds collected/cleared.
