Tenant cancelling lease early via a Certified letter.
My tenant on 1 side of a newly purchased duplex is cancelling her lease early (6 months). She sent me a certified letter stating that she will vacate the premises in 1 month. The letter also said that she will pay for the month and have her belongings out of the property by the end of the month. Do I need to respond to her via a certified letter or would regular communication suffice? Does she forfit her deposit?
