Build to Rent in High Cost Market
Hi all,
I'm new to BP and this is my first post. I'm just getting into real estate and BP has helped quite a bit. I live in Washington D.C., which as you know is a very high cost market and even if you want to get a duplex or multifamily rental property inventory is very low outside of low income communities. I know BP advocates for long distance investing but I'm personally interested in acquiring a portfolio of quality assets in my metro. With that said I'm considering building to rent. I've run some initial numbers and it appears possible to cash flow and have an asset growing in value.
Has anyone on BP considered this route?
What are your general thoughts on build to rent?
