Between Tenants-Securing Property

I am currently working to fill a vacancy and am interested in finding out how other landlords secure their property while vacant? Specifically, my concern is about copper theft. I've heard of landlords removing the condensor unit to the AC. Also, do you always show your rental with you there or do you put a lockbox on the door and give out the code to those you talk with over the phone? Any suggestions or tips? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't even think of giving a prospective tenant access to a lockbox with a key. You don't know who you are dealing with. They could copy the key, they could do stuff to the apartment.

Plus part of the showing process is for you to size them up.
