Military broke lease to move on post

So I’m not really sure how to handle this situation, I need advice from a lawyer or someone who really knows there stuff. I privately rent out my home in Georgia and recently had a military couple sign a lease to rent out my home and they signed it like a month before actually moving in all I asked was that they pay a security deposit to hold it for them until then. Well 4 days after moving in they decide they don’t want to live there and move on post. They are saying my house was not move in ready and that it was torn up and they just couldn’t stay. Which being the good person that I am I felt bad cause I felt like my maintenance man that I had paid $450 to had lied to me when he said it was ready. So I let them out they moved in on the 26th of June and moved out the day before the 1st of July. Turns out I had my brother and another maintenance person over to look at the house and there was. Nothing wrong with my house at least nothing major, door frame needed to be repainted and small things that are easy fixes in other words these people expected it to be perfect I guess. But anyways legally they gave me like 2 days notice and left and now are demanding their security deposit back. I’m just not sure where I stand legally. I somewhat understand the military clause being a military spouse myself but I just need help and I can’t afford a lawyer but I at least need pointed in the right direction. Thanks
