Poor response to online rental application

Hello everyone! I'm new to BP and also new at being a landlord and hoping to learn all I can from the vast knowledge available here!

I'm trying to rent out a newly furnished unit in a multiplex, 3 bed/1 bath. I've had 5 groups of renters look at the unit over 3 weeks who express interest in applying. I've sent applications using myrental.com to 15 individuals and only received 1 back. What am I doing wrong??

Are people more resistant to filling out online applications? Should I give them a paper one during the visit if they look promising? Thanks for any advice anyone has on this!
