Using BP MySmartMove, Rental application or not?

Hi everyone, I hope this is the right sub forum for this.
I'll be showing the two spare rooms in my house to a few possible tenants next weekend and just have a few questions about using MySmartMove (MSM).

I have the cookie cutter rental application I got from the local apartment association here in L.A. that requests Driver Lic, SSN, Addresses, Employment, Banking, Credit References, etc.
It is my understanding that a major benefit for the renter using MSM is not having to disclose this information to me and do it all online through TransUnion.

So If they are interested in the property and want to take the next step do I just ask them for their email address and tell them to wait for an email? Or do I have them fill out the rental application anyways?
I was thinking of getting a copy of their Drivers License to make sure they aren't using another persons identity to apply.

If anyone has used MSM please help a newbie out and chime in! Or even if you haven't any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance. I might add that I'm super excited about taking my first steps as a landlord even though it is just starting out in my own home. The extra money will help me save up for my 1st property and start my two years landlord history the lenders are looking for these days to consider the income towards DTI

Mehran
