Many houses for rent in Columbus, OH. Safe to buy & try to rent?

Hello Great BP Community!

I am interested to invest in a single family home in Columbus, OH where I live (buy/rehab/rent out). I'm thinking to look in good areas. The market is hot & expensive. I checked Zillow & there are a large number of single family houses available to rent currently. My question is - Would I be making a mistake investing when there are so many single family homes for rent? I looked at some of their time on market. It is firmly a seller's market but I wanted to ask the experts.

My experience: Just getting started, read a couple RE books, listened to lots of podcasts. No investments yet.

Thank you very much for your time I greatly appreciate it :)

Cheers,

Jordan
