How long does it takes you to reach 10k/month cash flow?

I would like to have an idea how long does it takes for investors to reach 10k/month cash flow. I understand people from different background will have a different time to achieve this number, I'm trying to calculate how it might takes me so I can plan on my current invest and corporate with my partner.

Starting from where?

For example, if you have $2MM in investable assets, you can secure $10k net cash flow almost immediately. Starting with zero dollars in one's pocket, no connections in the industry, and no investor base to pull off of, it would be difficult to build a $10k/month income in a year.

We're all starting from different places, different backgrounds, with different resources. As the saying goes, most people overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in 10.
