Situation! Please speak on it!!!!!
Hi guys! I hope this forum can help me out again. As I build my investment portfolio, I keep learning. I keep going thru the good and the bad.
Situation: I hired a marketing manager, just part time. Great kid. College kid. He is incredibly sociable... Can him being “ sociable “ with TENANTS become a BAD thing? Does being “ sociable “ ruin the image of being a professional?
- Late last night, he was out drinking for the raptors game, NBA game. A tenant, 25 year old single mother, added him on Facebook. He accepted, then proceeded to compliment all her photos and eventually ask “ Hey! Are you single? “. Apparently, she likes him back, but the tenant is in a COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP.
This situation is super unique, I am not totally against them associating with each other. She pays her rent on time every damn month lol.
How would you handle this? Do I give him fee range of communication with tenants, friendly communication?
I feel so lost. Someone comment on this and help me out with what to do

Tell him no way, all relationships with tenants must be professional. He can't behave that way with tenants. He's being a dumb college kid and not thinking with the brain between his ears.
Sounds like his judgement might not be the best.
