Special needs tenants
Hey. Are there any problems you all can foresee with a tenant who has ‘special needs’ dog. I’m renting out my place for the first time and I’m a little concerned about renting to anyone who has a mental or physical disability because I know there are special limitations to the law regarding disability. For example; will it be more difficult than normal to evict a disabled tenant for non payment? Are there any important questions I should ask my property manager about this prospective tenant before I approve? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@Angie Arias you cannot deny a tenant based on special needs anyways, so I wouldn't go down that road. You also cannot disallow the dog. If there is another red flag that is not related to the special needs like bad credit, eviction history, etc, then you may be able to deny based on your minimum criteria.
