Real Estate Agent to Property Manager Path

Ryan Hatfield
Posted

Doing some initial research, it appears that in Florida to become a property manager (outside of properties you own) you need to be a real estate broker. Prior to becoming a real estate broker you need to be an agent for at least two years.

Is it possible to associate with a broker for two years with no intent to ever try to sell houses? Are there cost associated?

The idea is to buy and manage some of my own properties and then scale up once I have a brokers license. Still developing this plan but that is the general outline.

Thoughts?
