Tenant changed jobs, do you verify employment again?
I have a tenant that only paid half of the rent that was due two weeks ago who is normally on time, and when we discussed it they said it's because they just started a new job. I had to double check but I don't have anything about it in my lease stating that they need to inform me if they change jobs. Should I attempt to verify employment again anyways?

Nope. I wouldn't take the time to re-verify employment. I would give them whatever the required "pay or quit" notice for your state and go from there. At the end of the day, it is not the landlord's concern on why they didn't pay their rent.
