Duplexes vs single family
I have started buying duplexes but in the past I have had single family homes for rental. Curious on the difference of renters you will get or do you see a big difference in turn over vs single family staying longer.

A house is better than a triplex is better than a duplex is better than an apartment. Usually.
The duplex should get a better return than a single-family of similar price and quality. If one unit is vacant, you're still collecting rent from the other tenant and hopefully not losing money. You're talking care of one roof, one yard, one property so it should cut down on work.
On the other hand, some people don't like to rent attached homes. There may be complaints between tenants regarding noise, parking, or lawncare. Single-family homes are typically easier to sell than multi-family.
There's no right or wrong.
