Tips on Duplex Propoerty Management
Hey BP community!
After about a year I am finally closing on my first duplex in southern NJ. Since this is my first investment property I own. I was wondering if you all could provide some tips on tenant managing. From screening tenants, to having the proper insurance, to marketing for tenants (with or without a broker), to what kind of relationship to have with existing tenants (I will be house hacking this property). Just for some context, this is a duplex property in southern NJ by a pretty big university (so I will likely be renting out to students). Any tips or pointers will help. Thanks to all!!
