Potential tenant doesn't have social.

Hi all. I have a potential tenant, he sounds super nice, good income, him and his wife, etc. one issue.. his wife is from another country, she does have ID from her home country, and she has a passport, but doesn't have her social security number yet, since she isn't a citizen yet.. so I can't check her background history, credit etc. what do you do in such a situation ? Thank you
