Condo board trying to make the board only "Owner Occupied"

Hi all,

I'm a board member at my association and currently rent out my unit (previously lived there), and would like to continue to rent rather than sell. There has been much turnover at the board lately, and now new members are proposing adding a bylaw that makes the board only "Owner Occupied". Is there anything I can do in this case? I'd like to stay on the board, as I am proactive in board matters and also want the best for the association and building. My understanding is that a vote would have to take place to enact a bylaw with 2/3 majority. Wondering if anyone else has experienced an issue like this, and what they have done?

Thanks!

Kevin
