Refrigerator Replaced - Less Quality Than Before

Hey everyone,

Looking to get some advice as I'm uncertain if I'm being unreasonable or not. I recently moved into a home rental (about a month ago) and we had discovered that the fridge we intended to use the ice/water maker on was not functioning. Along with that, the fridge would make a loud "clunk" at the end of it's cycle. More than likely a bad compressor.

So I submitted a maintenance request as this house rental is run through a property management company, so they deal with the owner. They got back to me asking for the measurements of the fridge and a few days later, without anyone coming on site, they said they were going to replace it. Sweet! I thought.

The replacement arrives and while new, it is significantly less than what we previously had. Our original fridge was 25 cubic feet, the new one they sent is only 18. Along with that, it has no ice or water maker. One of the main things I requested for repair.

So my main question, is am I being unreasonable for telling them I expected equal feature / quality replacement? Their reasoning was that the owner had a very small budget to work with, I get that -- but if they had contacted us to let us know that'd we'd be getting such a down grade, we would have had no issue paying the difference to upgrade to a fridge of equal quality. I'm less concerned about the water/ice maker, honestly, but we lost a ton of fridge space in a 4 person home.

Also, for the market I live in I pay $2000 a month in rent, not exactly cheap where I would expect this type of replacement. But yeah, maybe I'm just being picky but I also don't want to get walked on. I fear this will be the quality I can expect if anything else breaks in the future.
