I messed up the paperwork - now what?

I had a tenant move in mid April 2018.  I use a standard legal lease form, and in the length of the lease, I filled out 12.5 months, which is what we had agreed on, but on the lease end date, instead of filling in the appropriate 4/30/19, I wrote in 5/31/19.

So now does the lease end 4/30 or 5/31?

I don't want the lease to go month to month beyond 6/1, so want to ask the tenant to make a decision to leave or stay another year.  When does their 30 day notice to renew or give notice that they're leaving apply?

Ditto what Theresa Harris said. I have made this mistake also in the past. I would just let them know what happened no need to write up another contract. Just make necessary changes and both of you initial next to the change.
