Widow needs advice on whether its time sell a property
Hi all -
My husband passed away two years ago and we had two homes. I have been trying to stay afloat keeping both and I'm barely - its very hard.
I can't get anyone to give me sound advice because they feel bad telling me I should sell our dream house in FL - even my accountant. That's what's landed me here.
The house I'm writing about is located in Naples FL - a great market. All in my expenses are $3500 mo - mortgage - utilities - HOA - taxes. $42,000 a year.
I owe $419k house is worth about $479k.
I rent it seasonally and pull in around $20-22k a year
Does it make sense to stay in this when my rental is only paying 50% of my expenses
I know that I'm paying down the principal and my thinking was to hold on as long as I can because of the Naples market. But I'm so not sure I am doing the right thing and need to make a decision one way or another in the next week.
Any honest advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time
