Received Home Sharing Management Prosposition
Hi All -
We have several buy-and-hold rental properties and received an interesting call yesterday regarding one of our vacant units we are marketing for rent. The gentleman who called us was offering to provide a service where he and his partner would sign a lease with us for 12 months in duration and pay the rent in full each month and on time. He would furnish the unit and market it on AirBnB and VRBO as a short-term rental for visitors.
I of course was concerned about the quality of screening short-term tenants and how he would handle any damage to the houses...he said that they will have a $1,000,000 insurance policy on each house so that in the event tenants do cause damage, he would handle all repairs.
Not sure if anyone else has received offers like this or has had experience working with a company like this. The deal seems too good to be true, which always throws up a red flag. Please provide your thoughts, opinions, and experiences.
Thank you!
