What business structure do you use for your rental properties?

I’m looking to get some advice and real world examples on how successful landlords structure their business to bring in the most profit and least taxes. I am looking to get into real estate investing in the next year or so building a portfolio of rental properties and I am constantly doing research on how to do it the most efficient way possible. I’m currently looking into creating a holding company to manage the money and an operating company that actively runs the day to day. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience in this? I appreciate your time and consideration.
