Landlord – Tool or Device to Detect Pipe Burst or Constant Runnin

Hello Landlords,

I want to find out what kind of device you are using to detect pipe burst or constant running water.

Most of the time when the pipe is burst in the basement or constant running water due to leak or abuse by tenant, it is very difficult to find out until you received the water bill like 2-3 months later. This is even extremely difficult if you leave out of town or don’t tour your basement weekly. This water bill can in the thousands or 10 of thousands.

In short, what device do you have or use to detect pipe burst or constant running water?

I found this device called Flo. The ads look pretty good: https://meetflo.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItrbjk4LQ4AIVBIzICh1zYwcXEAQYASABEgJ7HfD_BwE

FYI: It is a bit expensive though.

Have you used that device before or ever used similar device that can address the problem?

Let me know what you are thinking. Thank you for the discussion
