Title company problems (Earnest Money Deposit)
I brought a house on a on-line auction and I'm using the Title Company they suggested. I wired the EMD deposit to the wrong account. When I found out it was to the wrong account I immediately sent another EMD to the correct account. (Big MSITAKE) . I asked them to return the first deposit to my account however, they have not. It been about two weeks and numerous emails back and forth with no solution. They told me that they were going to hold the extra EMD payment until closing. I believe this is illegal and I'm reaching out to the BP Community for any suggestions.
