Fireplace: Yay or Nay?

Hey I’m interested in purchasing a property with a fireplace.

I’d love to hear anyone’s experience with having a fireplace in a rental. Horror stories are welcome. Just trying to see what I may or may not be getting myself into.

 Always a good idea to cap fireplace gas valves & ban tenants from using it for anything other than decoration. Allowing the tenants to use the fireplace is an unnecessary liability. Juice ain't worth the squeeze on this one. Eliminate the risk.
