Hello everyone, my first post here and I'm kind of excited! I am working my numbers for buy/hold/rent a SFR in Warren, Michigan and was wondering what common practice is there for paying things like utilities/snow removal/landscaping/etc. Are those utilities covered by the tenant? Also, is the landlord expected to provide washer/dryer?

Hello Michael and welcome to BP!

Concerning SFH expenses, things like the utilities and landscaping can be charged either way. In Warren, sfh renters usually treat the property with care as if they're purchasing and will maintain the landscaping on their own and not have an issue with paying for utilities.
