How to get your Section 8 Property ready for inspection?

Hello, I'm possibly interested in renting to section 8 tenants. Could anyone with experience explain how to get your property ready as far as the rehab goes when renting to section 8? I'm sure each state is different, but are there some commonalities to watch for when rehabbing the rental ready for section 8? Thank you in advance.
