What kind of storage fee can i charge a previous tenant who left behind some of her belongings?
i live in florida. i was told that i can legally charge the previous tenant a storage fee for leaving behind some of her belongings. she moved on the 31st & still has her washer & dryer at the house. the new tenant is already moved in & has cleaned. i want to charge the old tenant a storage fee for not taking it when she moved. what amount can i legally charge her?

I would worry about getting this junk out and not a storage fee. My lease says nothing about a "storage fee", either. But I would never get to this point. When they leave, they take it with them or its mine. I would make that clear to them if they were driving away and there was still stuff in the property. Did you discuss this when they left? As I said in the other thread (please do not start any additional threads on this topic), I would get in contact with this person and arrange a time for the stuff be removed ASAP. Get rid of it and move on.
