Is an eviction necessary?

When is an eviction necessary?

For example: when a one year contract is over and I wish to not renew with the tenant can I simply just tell them or do I need an eviction?

What if the tenant does not leave after I don’t renew the contract? Can I just call the police because there contract is over and they still are in my house, or do I have to do and eviction?

Also how much does it normally cost to evict someone?

First you must study your state landlord tenant regulations, all the info is on line and you are required to know the law. This is not a business that you can take lightly. Do not learn as you go.

Police will not assist landlords, it is a civil matter and must be dealt with through your appropriate court system. You must evict to removing any tenant that is in violation of their lease or refuses to leave when required by the landlord at end of lease.

There are a ton of regulations landlords are legally required to follow. To operate without knowing them is likely going to result in the tenant taking their landlord to court.

Don't risk it, learn th elaws.
