Tenant appealed eviction, what’s next?

I am a realtor in Houston, TX. My client (owner) went to eviction court and the justice of the peace ruled in his favor. From what he told me they (tenants) had a period of time to pay $700 and appeal. The tenants have done that and now he is waiting to see what happens. Does anyone know that the next step is? Or what he can expect moving forward?
