My smart move website cancelled application

     I just had an applicant that put in for a property and they paid the fee directly to me and I then paid for the credit check myself.  I sent them a request for the credit check the following day they still hadn’t done it yet but they decided to not rent from me for whatever reason.  Since I didn’t run the credit will mysmartmove refund me or is that money gone?
