Going on vacation out of the country--who should answer tenant calls?

We are going on vacation in August and wondering whom we should get to mind our "store" of 3 SFH's while we are out.

Thinking of having a friend with property management experience take the checkbook and the bat phone and handle things. Alternatively, perhaps an actual property management firm could do respite care?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Becky

Another option is Magic Jack. If you have internet access, you may call from anywhere on the Earth to the U.S. for free. Tenants may call you and talk or leave message for you. The message shows up on your e-mail. The last 3 years, I've traveled for pleasure an average of 150 days per year. This system has worked everywhere.
Depending on your provider, you can also get your phone set up to call from foreign countries. The rate per minute varies by country. My Magic Jack cost about 40 bucks and a 5 year contract was recently $69 total-a buck a month! Great price for peace of mind.Rich
