Section 8 Tenant Concerns
Hello Everyone,
I am looking at a off market 2 family property, in Prov. 2nd unit is occupied on a month to month lease with a 6 bed 2 bath receiving rent of $1,850. However, they are a section 8 tenant. My main concerns with the property is being able to switch out the space heater with baseboard and figuring what that is going to cost. Most importantly. The 2nd unit is a townhouse style with 6 beds and 2 bath. The tenant pool is drastically limited to rent to mostly large families with a section 8 voucher because most families would/could/should consider buying a house at this high of a rent in my opinion.
Anyone have any thoughts on this. The numbers work out fine. I just don't know much about section 8 tenants and if I want to limit the people who can pay the rent on the property.
Thoughts?
