Noise complaint from lower tenant
The lower tenant is always complaining how that they can hear the 2nd floor tenants walking, running etc. They want out of there lease it’s so loud. They pound on the ceiling to get the tenants from upstairs to stop from essentially moving.
I have listened to the noise you can hear it but I think that are exaggerating the situation but in fairness to them it’s annoying.
Solution: Insulate the floor between units.
Anyone ever had to do this before. Appreciate any thoughts.

Solution: tell the downstairs tenant that noise travels downward and they are going to hear it, period. They can suck it up or move out but they need to stop banging on the ceiling and complaining.
I would prefer to get them out and place a new tenant. Always be clear with your renters that noise travels down much easier than up and they are going to hear noise, period. Also tell the upstairs tenants that their noises are exaggerated to the tenants below and they should try to be respectful of that, particularly during the evenings and mornings.
