Provide cell booster in bottom unit?
Hey everyone,
I have a up/ down split duplex and the bottom unit has very bad to no cell service in half of it. Should I provide a cell booster to provide the tenants phone to work? I feel like cell service in the bedroom is a reasonable expectation. However the boosters I'm looking at online are like $500.
Thanks,
Andrew

@Andrew S. Unless this is specifically promised in your lease, I'm not sure how this is your responsibility.
That said, I got one free from AT&T. When I needed a second, I paid $150. These are the kind that plug into your router.
I think the ones you're looking at are RF boosters. They're far more expensive and cover a larger area. They're also able to boost different carriers at the same time, while the less expensive ones are carrier specific.
I'd have your tenant contact his cell carrier and tell them that he isn't getting service. See if he can get a free/cheap booster.
