3 Ideas to Fill Winter Vacancy - Which do you recommend?
Hello BP folks! I would appreciate your feedback on some options I’m considering to fill a winter vacancy. I have a well maintained ranch home with great curb appeal for rent in a nice neighborhood. The only issue with the house is the dated kitchen with older, white appliances. The home has been listed in Zillow for a week. I’m getting a lot of inquiries but the majority of individuals do not qualify and those that do qualify have not applied after a tour. A similar rental just down the street has been vacant for a month and just dropped their rent $100 below ours. I’m considering the ideas below as my next move. Which do you recommend? Or, do you have a different recommendation?
- Drop rent $100 to match home down the street
- Invest in stainless steel appliances to attract qualified applicant faster
- Offer short term incentive like first month free
Thank you in advance for your advice!
