Newlyweds and one spouse declared bankruptcy from prior marriage

Hello- I have a couple whose combined income is 6x rent and one spouse recently had to declare bankruptcy from a previous marriage. I don‘t have too many specifics yet, but wondering what the Bigger Pockets Community thought about this? Would they be disqualified? Thanks for your input!
