Selecting a Tenant for my first rental
Hey Everyone,
I am house hacking my first Side by side 2 Family. I bought the property vacant so I have been showing recently updated other side like crazy. I have had everyone fill out my detailed Application for my review and i have 2 very qualified tenants.
which tenant (in your opinion) would you rather have in your property? They both have adequate income and credit.
1) this tenant is a married older couple (65yrs old) and they will most likely stay for 10+ years. Im just afraid of the wear and tear and that i will have to renovate a lot more when they leave.
2) Applicant #2 is a 28 year old working professional who will most likely stay for about 2 years and move closer to NYC. I will most likely only need to paint and do minor adjustments when he leaves.
like i said, this is my first rental and I'm just looking for some advice.
