Multi Family Space Heaters
Hello Everyone,
I notice when I am looking for multi families, a lot of properties have the large oven looking space heating system. I have not dealt with it nor do I know its effectiveness to heat an entire unit. I assume the larger the unit the the less likely it is heating everything.
What are some of the remedies to this? I am not sure if I should leave those alone, or if I should factor it in to replace for an electric or some other heating system. Maybe getting the pipes extended and adding baseboard or a new heating system in the attic and have central forced air from the ceilings.
What are your suggestions?

If it has been in service for some time and is functioning properly (no tennat complaints) there is no reason to do anything with it. In rental properties you do not fix what is not broken.
New buyers/investors all too often begin by trying to reinvent the wheel. If the unit has been occupied on a ongoing bases for some time all you need to do is properly maintain the existing services until something fails and requires replacement. Spending money to replace or upgrade existing services that are functioning and will not directly translate into a rent increase is not fiscally wise operation in this business.
