Help! Costly repair...
Hi! My tenant called me this week telling me the toilet was not going down. I called a plumber to get it fixed, thinking it was something simple. Well... it happens that apparently is like a toy or something big stuck in the toilet. He even told me that the snake was stuck and he was not able to pull it out. This is going to cost more than I was expecting.
Should I suck it up and pay the repair or make the tenant repay the repair?

What does your lease say, always follow the lease first.
If the tenant caused the damage above and beyond reasonable wear then they should pay for it.
Also know: they are not going to want to pay for it no matter what. This is why having it in the lease is incredibly important.
