Renter Question Regarding Renovation

Renter Anon
Posted

Hello,

Here are the facts:

I am a renter in San Francisco and my Landlord has submitted a permit for renovations.
I live in a single family housing unit with an illegal sub-unit. There is also a permit to legalize the unit.

I have not been evicted.

I am reaching out to various tenants rights associations, the rent board, the planning commission and legal counsel, so suggestions on who to contact are not needed.

Let me know your thoughts and what legal options I have if any of you have any experience as a landlord, tenant, or legal counsel.

Best,

Renter Anon
