Anyone know of IL landlord rights?

Got a question, we have a rental home in Southern Illinois, we have run into really hard times and are needing to return to the home. It is rented right now, but about a month and a half ago I contacted my property manager about our situation and she said we can not tell them to move out, but she would ask them. About a week later she said they were looking to buy a home, and would be out by Nov. 15th. This past week, about 4 days ago she notified me that they were not moving out until April 1, when the lease is up and that we should look at hiring a lawyer. I can not hire a lawyer, we could be possibly looking at filing for bankruptcy before this is all over. I found a landlord rights handbook from Illinois States Attorney General page that said as long as we the landord gave 60 days written notice the tenant would have to move out. Why did our property manager not tell us this? Is this law real? We do not know about the law, that is why we have a property manager. Someone please give us some answers, we are coming close to losing everything, and to top things off we have two children to still care for, we need help!!!!!!

Thank You,
Tammy
