Fence Removal/Replacement Options-- Redford, MI

Hi all,

Just had a vacant property inspection in Redford, MI.  Everything went as expected but they're requiring the dilapidated privacy fence on one side to be repaired/replaced before C/O will be issued (repair really isn't an option).  I wanted to just take the fence down--especially since there's already no front/back fence.  But in this case the tenants next door have a large dog so its kind of necessary.  Do I have options here, other than just sucking it up and replacing it.  Thanks.
