7-day vacation rental minimum requirement workarounds

I have a vacation rental property that has a 7-day rental requirement in the HOA covenants, but I have had the property for 8 years and this has never been enforced. Under 7-night stays are a large portion of my shoulder season rentals. Now some homeowners are requesting that the board (which I am on) enforce this rule by inspecting rental calendars and sending notices where there is less than a 7 night stay listed.

What do other vacation landlords do as a workaround for this 7-night minimum rule?

Abide by the covenants or sell the property. You could also work with other owners and the HOA to modify the covenants.
