NEED HELP EVICTING A SUB-TENANT

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group here.  I have a quick question about whether to serve a 3-day notice or a 30 day notice.  I have a lease agreement with a tenant who moved his wife into the house shortly after signing the lease.  The wife is not on the lease.  The wife has filed for divorce and the tenant has sent me an email indicating he has moved out.  There are still 3 more months left on the lease.  I have tried to reach the wife but she has not responded.  I am not interested in renting to the wife and do not intend to accept rent from her.  Since she is not on the lease, should i serve her with a 3-day notice or do I have to serve her with a 30 day notice.

Thanks in advance
