Moles in the front yard at a rental property

Tenant notified me there are lots of moles in the front yard. Indeed there are lots of mole mounds in the front yard, but the tenants can use the sidewalk.

I don't mind the moles and not worried about the grass, but don't know if I am required to get rid of them.

Just call pest control and have the moles removed and fill in the mole holes. If someone trips and falls in a mole mound and hurts themselves, then you're going to have much bigger issues that bad grass. In AZ, it is the responsibility of the landlord to make all repairs and do whatever is necessary to put and keep the premises in a fit and habitable condition and keep all common areas of the premises in a clean and safe condition. I am not one to make assumptions, but I would think this kind of law is applicable to landlords just about everywhere.
