If the landlord died before contract expired, what happened to tenant?
The landlord and tenant had the contract for three years and landlord suddenly died within a year. The heir of landlord sold the property to new owner. When the new owner asked the tenant to move out, should the tenant do so?

The lease runs with the property. The landlord dying has no effect on the lease. The lease is still valid and nobody, not the heir, not someone who buys from the heir, NOBODY, can force the tenant out.
