Making your rentals durable!

So I wanted to start a thread on what to do about making one's rental units as durable as possible.

- Hardwood flors where ever you can with 4 coats of poly
- I find this looks great and is minimal effort and quick for turn overs.
- VTC tile in kitchens.
- Very rugged and if some tiles crack you can just pull it up and replace only the one tile.
- Pex plumbing
- more give, less likely to get stolen :-)
- Staining trim work instead of painting
- I hate having to repaint all the time. Very time consuming.

Please lets all share ideas and little trick we have come up with over the years. Thanks.

Only install Mansfield toilets (no flapper), install solid core doors on all openings.
