Homeonwer's insurance on condo

I believe that the insurance on the exterior of a condo are covered in your HOA fees, but what about the interior? I'm looking at a condo to buy as a rental. On the seller's info sheet in MLS, they marked N/A for homeowner's insurance. I would assume that you have to carry some other insurance other than what the HOA provides, correct?
